Marketplace Terms

These terms apply to everyone who browses, lists or buys on the SHOPYTHON Marketplace (the “Marketplace”) at shopython.com.my/pages/marketplace. By posting a listing or contacting a seller, you agree to them. They are in addition to our general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. SHOPYTHON is a venue only

The Marketplace is a noticeboard where members can advertise their own pre-loved bakery and kitchen equipment, and where buyers can find and contact them. SHOPYTHON is not the seller, not the buyer, and not an agent of either. We are not a party to any deal made between users, and we do not handle payment, delivery, collection, installation or returns for Marketplace items.

2. No responsibility or liability

Because we are not involved in transactions between users, SHOPYTHON is not responsible or liable for, and gives no warranty or guarantee about:

  • the quality, condition, safety, working order, legality or authenticity of any item listed;
  • the truth or accuracy of any listing, description, photo or price;
  • whether a seller is able to sell, or a buyer is able to pay;
  • the identity, conduct or reliability of any user;
  • any payment, deposit, delivery, pickup, installation or after-sale arrangement agreed between users;
  • any loss, damage, injury, cost or dispute arising from a Marketplace deal or from using an item bought through the Marketplace.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you use the Marketplace and deal with other users entirely at your own risk.

3. What our listing review means

Our team looks at each listing before it goes live, but only to check that it fits the Marketplace (for example, that it is bakery or kitchen equipment and is not spam or obviously prohibited). We do not inspect, test, value or verify any item, seller or buyer. A listing appearing on the Marketplace is not an endorsement or recommendation by SHOPYTHON.

4. Warranty

Items sold on the Marketplace are sold by private users, not by SHOPYTHON, and do not carry a SHOPYTHON warranty. Any remaining manufacturer warranty may not transfer to a new owner.

5. How to deal safely

We strongly recommend meeting up or cash on delivery (COD) for every Marketplace deal.

  • See and test the machine in person before you pay. Check the model, serial number, power supply (single or 3-phase) and all accessories.
  • Meet in a safe, public or business location where possible, and bring someone with you.
  • Pay only when you collect the item or when it is delivered to you. Never pay a deposit, booking fee or full amount by bank transfer to someone you have not met.
  • Be cautious of prices that look too good to be true, pressure to decide quickly, or requests to move to another platform.
  • Keep your own record of what was agreed (price, condition, what is included).

6. Seller responsibilities

By submitting a listing, you confirm that:

  • you own the item and have the right to sell it;
  • your description, photos, condition and price are accurate and honest, and you will disclose any known faults;
  • the item is legal to sell in Malaysia and is not stolen, counterfeit, recalled or unsafe;
  • you will tell us when the item is reserved or sold so we can update the listing;
  • SHOPYTHON may display your name, location and WhatsApp number on your listing so buyers can contact you.

7. Items we do not accept

Anything other than bakery, pastry, coffee and commercial or home kitchen equipment and parts, and any item that is stolen, counterfeit, recalled, dangerous, modified in an unsafe way, or otherwise illegal to sell.

8. Removing listings

We may refuse, edit, hide or remove any listing, and may stop any user from posting, at any time and without giving a reason. Listings are free, and we may change or close the Marketplace at any time.

9. Disputes between users

Any dispute about a Marketplace deal is between the buyer and the seller. SHOPYTHON is not obliged to take part in, or resolve, such disputes. If you believe a listing is fraudulent or breaks these terms, please report it to us on WhatsApp and we will review it.

10. Your responsibility to us

You agree to be responsible for, and to compensate SHOPYTHON for, any claim, loss or cost that arises from your listing, your deal with another user, or your breach of these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies from the date shown at the top.
